Ankush Chaudhary to play Maharashtra Shahir
The film is directed by Kedar Shinde and the musical reins have been given to Ajay Atul.
Krishnarao Ganapatrao Sable alias Shahir Sable was famous as a Marathi Lokshahir. He has been a major contributor to the Indian independence movement and the movement for a united Maharashtra. He was best known for his performances of ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha’, the Maharashtra State Anthem, and ‘Maharashtrachi Lokdhara’ and is also considered to be the pioneer of free drama. Shahir Sable was a poet-lyricist-composer, singer, skilled drummer, and actor-director. He introduced Marathi folk culture in the society through ‘Maharashtrachi Lokdhara’. His song ‘Garja Maharashtra Majha, Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha’ reached every nook and corner of Maharashtra.
Ankush Chaudhary will play the lead role in ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ directed by Kedar Shinde, presented by Kedar Shinde Productions and produced by Bela Kedar Shinde. The script and dialogues of this film have been done by Kulkarni. The music of this film has been handed over to Ajay-Atul. The film is set to release on April 28, 2023. The film was announced on the auspicious occasion of Maharashtra Day.
Kedar Shinde, the director of Maharashtra Shahir Films announced the film on Maharashtra Day by a famous artist who introduced and popularized folk culture through ‘Maharashtrachi Lokdhara’ all over Maharashtra. The musical reins have been given to Ajay Atul.
