Recently, Anurag Kashyap grabbed headlines when he posted a tweet congratulating PM Narendra Modi on his victory in the Lok Sabha Elections. In the same tweet, he also mentioned how his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap was receiving rape threats. He even added the screenshot of the threat to his tweet. This gained a lot of momentum and while many people came forth in support of Anurag, there were others who called it a publicity stunt and trolled the filmmaker for it.

Today when he was present at the trailer launch of Taapsee Pannu’s bilingual film Game Over, the media asked him about it. He said, “I say what I feel, I make my own choices, I can’t say what others feel or say. I do not tweet against someone, I just tag.” He was also enquired about the viral video of him shooing the paps away, to which he replied, “I hope the photojournalists hate me always and they don’t click my pictures at all. I feel that it is an invasion of my privacy. I don’t think that when I am at some place for some private work, clicking my pictures is right. I don’t even like people taking selfies with me.” Post this, the paparazzi has decided to put a ban on clicking any pictures of his.

Workwise, Anurag’s production film Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar will hit the theatres on October 25. The film is based on the life of two UP-based sharpshooters Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates and news.
