Anushka Sharma produced Netflix original Bulbul gets its lead pair

Netflix India had earlier announced nine projects to be produced by Indian actress. Out of which one is titled Bulbul to be produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother, Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films. While Anushka has worked in a majority of her productions, Bulbulwill not see her in the lead role. Instead, the makers have roped in two other actors.

Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri of Laila Majnu fame have been roped in as the leads. The pair will be seen together for the second time after director Sajid Ali’s debut film Laila Majnu. Avinash and Tripti had impressed audience with their performance in the film and now the fans are excited to see them pair up again. About Bulbul, the film is a horror period-drama set in a vibrant background with old belief and superstitions.

The story will revolve around Satya and his brother’s child-bride, who are separated when Satya is sent to a foreign country and when he comes back he finds out that his brother has abandoned his wife. Alongside Tripti and Avinash, the film will also star Rahul Bose. Bulbul will be releasing on Netflix by the end of 2019. For more updates and gossip about Bollywood, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
