AR Rahman’s Avengers: Endgame anthem Roke Na Rukenge Hum Toh Yaara left Joe Russo teary eyed

Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo unveiled a special treat for the Indian fans of his blockbuster Marvel franchise. The filmmaker, along with music director AR Rahman, launched the Marvel Anthem at an action-packed event today (April 1). The special video launched, features Rahman and showcased a montage of the upcoming Avengers. Director Joe Russo shared how he was thrilled and impressed with Rahman’s song that encompasses the universal appeal of the franchise in regional language – including Hindi.

The song titled Roke Na Rukenge Hum Toh Yaara was recorded in ten days and created without inputs by the director. “Rahman is a musical genius and he has recreated the spirit perfectly. I heard the song for the first time last night and I teared up,” said Russo. The director also revealed that Stan Lee made his last appearance in End Game. “We wouldn’t be here without him, so he wasn’t there in Spiderman Homecoming but he is there in this one,” added Russo. Further, Russo also shared that he would share the song with Robert Downey Jr (who plays Iron Man) and get him to share it as well. Check out the anthem here:

Rahman revealed that his favourite Marvel superhero is Iron Man and Black Panther. While his favourite movie is Black Panther.  Also present at the event was Studio Head, Marvel India – Bikram Duggal. Avengers: Endgame is releasing on April 26, 2019.
