Arjun Kapoor’s India’s Most Wanted is one of the most-intriguing films of the year. The movie is generating a lot of buzz and the trailer was well-received too. We had revealed to you how the film seems to be based on the capture of feared Indian terrorist, Yasin Bhatkal. The bomb blasts as well as hunt down in Nepal is what we saw in his case. The trailer also made us believe it was him, but what’s the truth? The question was put forth to Raj Kumar Gupta and here’s what he had to say…
When asked whether India’s Most Wanted is based on Indian Mujahideen member Yasin Bhatkal, director and writer Raj Kumar Gupta had an interesting answer. He said, “I just want to say that it is inspired by true events. When you’ll watch the film, you will get to know what inspired it. It’s a watershed moment for Indian intelligence. Come and see it for yourself.” Well, he surely doesn’t want to give away the key suspense factor, but we truly believe it is about Yasin Bhatkal. What do you think? For those of you who don’t know, Yasin Bhatkal was the key conspirator of several terror attacks across India. He once topped Delhi Police’s list of 15 most-wanted terrorists and was arrested from the India-Nepal border in August 2013.
