Director Anubhav Sinha’s next directorial Article 15 has been in the limelight since the trailer came out. And the latest update is that Anubhav is receiving threats ahead of the film’s release, the director exclusively confirmed the same to CineBlitz. Inspired from some real life incidents the film has been getting backlash on the social media for a while and now things have escalated.
The trailer, songs and Ayushmann Khurrana’s unique way of promoting the film has garnered a good traction but it has also invited heavy criticism. When a few netizens recently tagged the film to be anti-brahmins, Ayushmann cleared that people should not judge the film before watching it. Now another controversy surrounds the film, a Brahmin outfit named Parshuram Sena has been reportedly expressing their displeasure reagrding the film on social media. There are also speculations that the Brahmin group and Karni Sena will protest outside cinema halls against the screening of Article 15. For those who don’t know, Karni Sena is the same group that had created trouble with the release of SLB’s Padmaavat.
