Acclaimed Tamil director Pa Ranjith, known for his projects Kabaali and Kaala with superstar Rajnikanth is currently working on his Hindi debut said to be a biopic on tribal leader Birsa Munda. However while at it, he’s already decided to work with Tamil actor Jamshad Cethirakath aka Arya for his next Tamil film.
Based on the life of a boxer, Pa Ranjith will reportedly rope in Arya for the movie once he completes his biopic on Birsa Munda. A source was quoted as saying, “The director has locked the script for the biopic and the team is currently busy with pre-production. It will be a grand film that requires a lot of work and attention, so Ranjith is currently focused only on this project. Ranjith’s next Tamil film will only be after the Hindi project and it might star Arya.”
Reportedly, Ranjith is planning to have North Indian actors for Birsa Munda as it is set in the northern parts of India. The film will be based on Mahasweta Devi’s novel Aranyer Adhikar. For more entertainment news and updates, stay tuned with CineBlitz.
