Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 is one of the most hard-hitting and intriguing films this year. The Anubhav Sinha directorial has been in the news due to various reasons. One of the biggest controversies was when several religious groups alleged that the film shows them in a bad light. But so is not the case, in fact, the film has fantastic story, with great execution and message. With so much hype created by this film, the makers have managed to sell Article 15‘s digital rights for a massive fee!

Yes, according to our source, the makers have got a huge amount for the digital rights of Article 15. As the insider reveals, “Several platforms wanted to procure the digital rights of Article 15. And the controversy and reviews just added to the bidding war. Finally, Netflix has procured the rights of Article 15 and the deal is worth Rs 35 crore. Netflix wanted to invest in buying the rights of a film that was on the lines of Delhi Crime, which was successful for them. Both Article 15 and Delhi Crime are hard-hitting, edge-of-your-seat thrillers with a great message. And hence, Netflix paid such a huge amount without a hiccup.” The OTT platform is sure it will perform well. For a film of this magnitude, this is huge!
