The new age heart-throb Ayushmann Khurana is all over the big screen. From his choices of not-so-staple characters to his portrayal of them, he wins in all aspects. For the world, his debut was Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor, but did you know, he was supposed to debut in a film titled KLPD? (and if you are a North Indian, it isn’t the KLPD you are thinking of). Some time ago, when Ayushmann appeared on Neha Dhupia’s podcast, he confessed that his first film was to be KLPD (the full form was on the lines of Kisses, Love, Pizza and Dosti) and not Vicky Donor. He also recollected how bad the experience was when he was taken to Thailand, and he and the other crew members waited for days for the shoot to begin.
After a week, Ayushmann had to come back to India for his other commitments. Meanwhile, news broke out that the crew members back in Thailand were stuck, and their visas were confiscated for a month because the producer hadn’t paid the hotel bills. A bad experience for someone to start with. We are glad that Ayushmann wasn’t introduced to us in a film titled KLPD (like we don’t understand the purpose behind the name). It would have ruined the love we have for him. Jo Hota Hai, Achche Ke Liye Hota Hai – this is a prime example.
Let us know what you think about Ayushmann’s KLPD moment in the comment section. And also thank Ayushmann’s stars for being in the right place! For more such interesting trivia pieces, stay tuned to Cine Blitz right here.
