The much-awaited trailer of Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming thriller Badla is finally out! And we must say that it has made us excited to see the film even more. Adapted from the 2016 Spanish revenge thriller Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest), this movie brings together two powerhouse performers Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu once again. They were last seen together in Shoojit Sircar’s Pink (2016) and they killed it in the courtroom drama. However, in Badla, the two seem to be embroiled in a murder mystery. And the trailer promises enough twists and turns to keep your attention riveted to the whodunit.

Badla has been shot in Scotland. So the snow and the broody ambience lends itself to an air of mystery quite naturally. The background score also fuels the feel. And we must say that the trailer looks very impressive overall. We can make out that Taapsee is playing a married woman – Naina Sethi, who is framed in the murder of her lover. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, plays Badal Gupta, who is involved in the investigation. And as the name suggests, the film is a revenge thriller. The trailer of the crime thriller is  looking interesting and it is nice to see the desi touch given by Sujoy, who is known for his deft-handling of the thriller genre. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan (Red Chillies Entertainment), Badla starring Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan is slated to release on March 8.
