Almost all celebrities have graced The Kapil Sharma Show which airs on Sony Entertainment Channel. But despite the starry touch, Kapil Sharma’s show is lacking in TRP. Recently, the stand-up comedian was on a break but he came back on the small screen with the same zest and picked up from where he had left. Initially, things were going good but lately, Kapil and his show were in news because of all the wrong reasons. After Navjot Singh Sidhu made an incentive comment over the Pulwama terror attack, everyone on Twitter started ranting against Sidhu and because of him Kapil’s show also ended up facing backlash. Guess due to all the negative publicity, The Kapil Sharma Show has now slipped to the number 3 position on the BARC list.

While Khatron Ke Khiladi has constantly been on the number one spot in the BARC list (Broadcast Audience Research and Council), there were two shows which are trying to get on the top. Kapil’s show was second on the list with the TRP rating of 2.9 in week 7 (February 9- February 15) while Naagin 3 was on the third spot. But now that the BARC report for week 8 is out and it’s clear that Kapil’s show has suffered because of the whole Sidhu controversy as it has slipped to the third spot. Yes, The Kapil Sharma Show is now on number 3 whereas Naagin has taken its place and has grabbed the second position.

Since Kapil’s comedy show is still in the top 3, its good news for him and his team. They can buck up and reclaim their second position or maybe even the top spot if they work harder and stay away from any unnecessary media attention. Other shows which are on the top ten list of the BARC TRP ratings are Tujse Hai Raabta, Kundali Bhagya, Super Dancer 3, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Radhakrishna, KumKum Bhagya and Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Payega. These are the most viewed shows by the Indian audience. For more such updates and news from the world of entertainment, stay tuned to Cine Blitz.
