John Abraham, who will be next seen in Nikhil Advani’s Batla House has impressed many with the film’s trailer. The trailer that featured John in an intense cop avatar was released today (July 11) and while Batla House will be releasing this Independence Day, it will be clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and Prabhas’ Saaho. Now that we are seeing many film stars and filmmakers cashing on public holidays for releasing their movies, John was questioned about the same at the trailer launch and here’s what he had to say.

While answering the question about releasing his film on August 15, John said, “I think a holiday always gives you a bigger opening because it’s a holiday. I think it is important to release a film on a good day, you can release it on a vanilla weekend also but it depends on the genre. Our film is very specific to Independence Day and it is a great day for us. We are releasing Batla House this year, we may release another sequel of mine next year same day. So, we are very clear we want a Independence Day release.”

Well, this Independence Day it is John vs Akshay Kumar vs Prabhas at the Box Office and the battle is awaited. For more updates and gossip, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
