In another case of fraud, Kunal Goswami, son of yesteryear actor Manoj Kumar has turned out to be a victim. Goswami who was willing to buy a suitcase from an untrusted site fell into the trap of fraudsters. Two transactions were immediately carried out and withdrawals done in Chinese currency. The 53-year-old has filed a police complaint and is waiting for further updates and to the incident.
On June 21 when Goswami was going through his Facebook feed and looking for options to buy a suitcase online, he clicked on an unknown link. The link directed him to an unknown webpage where he entered his card details. In a time span of as less as eight minutes two transactions were made. One of 426.02 Chinese Yuan and the other of 483.11 Chinese Yuan. Looking at the alien transactions, Goswami immediately called customer care and blocked the card.
Taking a further step, the actor filed an FIR at the Juhu police station. A case under IPC 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), IT Act session 66(C) and 66(D) was filed against the alien portal. Further details are awaited.
