Ali Abbas Zafar’s much talked about directorial Bharat is just a few days away from its release on June 5. While the fans are waiting with bated breath to see Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani in a film that showcases seven different eras, we all are in for a big surprise. Yes, not just the audience, but even Salman Khan is unaware of what director Ali has planned for him.
As per the latest update director Ali Abbas Zafar will mark his debut as a lyricist and a composer with Bharat. He will be composing the upcoming song titled Zinda which is also the film’s anthem. The director has penned and set it to tune with Julius Packiam, who has also worked on the background score for the period-drama.
Ali revealed that the song was originally a poem which he had written while scripting the film. He added by saying that the idea stems from Bharat’s journey through seven decades as he endeavours to keep the promise he made to his father. “The core message of the film is that belief and conviction keep you alive,” concluded the director. The track will play during the most vulnerable moments when Bharat is on a high or has hit a low. Voiced by Vishal Dadlani, the makers have given his signature powerful and grungy touch to the song.
On giving surprise to the leading man Salman Khan, Ali shared, “Bhai doesn’t know yet, we don’t share these small details, he knows I keep doing something or the other. But this time I think he will be surprised. Of course, he’ll pull my leg, saying, ‘So now, you’ve started writing songs too, now you will ask for an extra cheque.’ That’s the kind of bond we share”.
Interestingly, Bharat will have half-a-dozen songs celebrating the different festivals and the spirit of its leading man. BHARAT, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Alvira Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri, Krishan Kumar under the banners of T-Series, Reel Life Productions and Salman Khan Films, releases this Eid on June 5.
