The voice of India, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away in Mumbai on 6th February after a prolonged illness. Lata Mangeshkar was the most famous singer in the entire country and had sung thousands of songs in practically every language of India. She was recovering from COVID 19 and pneumonia at a hospital in Mumbai, but passed away around 8am today.
Since the 1940’s her sweet voice and incredible singing abilities had ensured that she was the first choice of most music directors. Bollywood movies too would not have been the same without her playback singing. CINEBLITZ pays homage to the legendary voice of India.
Celebrities from the film industry took to their social media handles to express their messages.
Heartbroken, but blessed to have known & loved this incredible soul…Lataji holds a place in our hearts that will never be taken by anyone else. That's how profoundly she has impacted our lives with her music.
May she rest in peace & light up the heavens with her brightness 🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/HjgIQyE7mo— Anil Kapoor (@AnilKapoor) February 6, 2022

#LataMangeshkar
