Bigg Boss 13: Not Lonavala, the reality show’s set will be in Mumbai? Here’s the truth!

Last week, filmmaker and set designer Omung Kumar B made an interesting revelation about Bigg Boss that has left tongues wagging. Yes, while talking to an online portal, Omung revealed that the Bigg Boss house would be moving out off Lonavala. Except for season 5, the controversial reality show has always taken place in Lonavala. In fact, every year a new set is built from scratch keeping in mind the show’s theme for that particular season. But for the new season, we hear the set will be placed in Mumbai. That’s not all! It’s also being speculated that the show’s set will be built at Goregaon Film City this year.

For the past seven years, Omung and wife Vanita have been designing the amazing sets for Bigg Boss and while the climate in Lonavala made the lives of contestants a bit easier, we wonder what will happen when the set shifts to Mumbai. To get more details on the same, we contacted people at Viacom 18 and a spokesperson told us,” As of now the rumours are just buzzing. Confirmation will only come later. We cannot comment on it as we also haven’t got any news yet. People have been saying a lot of names, Madh Islands and even Bhiwandi. So there are many names coming up.” Considering that season 5 took place in Karjat, the show makers could very well zero down the same location once again. But as of now, vicinities close to Mumbai are being looked at for the show’s new season.

Last year, the show did not fare well in terms of TRP. Popular television actress Dipika Kakkar won the Bigg Boss 12 title and the house was designed keeping in mind the beach theme. This year, we’ll have to see what theme is decided and how well it will go with the new location. While we don’t mind all the new changes, we just hope that Salman Khan continues to host the show.
