Salman Khan to judge and produce Nach Baliye 9

Salman Khan’s more than a decade-old poaching case has a new update. On Monday (June 17) the Jodhpur Court acquitted Salman from the accusations of submitting false affidavit in court. In the year 2006, the Rajasthan Government submitted a plea accusing Salman of submitting a fake affidavit and misleading the court. The Chief Justice of the Rural Court Ankit Raman has dismissed the State Government plea.

It may be recalled that it was in 1998, while shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain, when Salman with a few others from the cast were booked for poaching black bucks in Rajasthan. Salman was booked in three cases, one of which included the Arms Act. During the hearing he was asked to submit his arms license. The actor later submitted an affidavit to the court saying that he had lost his weapon’s license. The State Government accused that Salman had submitted fake affidavit and the prosecution asked the court to take action against the actor. Now the defense lawyer Hastimal Saraswat made it clear in the court that Salman had no intention of misleading the court. Salman had actually lost his license at the time when he was asked to submit the documents. The defense also gave court the copy of the missing report that Salman had filed for his license in Bandra, Mumbai.
