Blank trailer launch

The trailer of Blank was released today (April 4) and the film will mark the acting debut of Karan Kapadia in Bollywood. Apart from him, the movie also stars Sunny Deol and Ishita Dutta in the lead roles. It’s been a while since we saw Sunny in the action mode on the big screen. However, in Blank, the action superstar will be seen kicking some badass terrorists. On the other hand, debutante Karan Kapadia plays the role of a suicide bomber and it looks like his character is grey in the mystery-drama. Interestingly, Ishita will also be seen doing some hardcore action in the film. In fact, the actress was so excited about the fighting scenes that she used to ask her director about it every day on the sets.

Coming to the trailer, it looks very promising and the makers have indeed come up with an unusual story. At the trailer launch when Sunny was asked what’s different in the film, he also stated that it’s the story which is very different. Since the entire star cast was present at the launch event, a lot of things were revealed while interacting with the media. Read on to know all the details.

Highlights from the trailer launch of Blank:

Since Karan is debuting with an intense, mystery film, he was asked at the event if any other genres would interest him going forward. To this, the young replied, “I am not lucky enough to pick any film, I am fortunate that Blank came to me. The script and the director both are amazing. I will do more genres of films surely but something that I would too enjoy as an audience and I am not much picky.”

As for Sunny, someone asked him to comment on the trend of doing patriotic films, to which the actor said, “I like to do strong characters and that’s my nature also as I am a kind of person who never gives up. So that also reflects in films and which is why my films are more on the patriotic note and people connect with me more. But it was never a sellable thing but the world has changed and everything is around marketing so we need to have a reason for everything of why we do and what we do. Nowadays we make according to what is the season of it and that’s trending.”

The 62-year-old actor was also asked why he no longer does multi-starrer films. To this, Sunny quipped, “There should be a script where I will fit in. But unfortunately, I haven’t got anything like that. But I would definitely like to do it with anyone.”
