Wife of actor Ayushman Khuranna, Tahira Kashyap Khuranna shared a very emotional picture of herself today on the occasion of World Cancer Day.  Tahira has been winning hearts of millions of Indians by sharing her heartfelt journey since she got diagnosed with Stage 0 cancer.  Tahir underwent surgery and chemotherapy but the disease persisted, going onto Stage 1 later. On World Cancer Day Tahira shared a picture taken by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar showing her vulnerable side with her surgery scars and her bald avatar. The picture shows her with her back towards the camera with possible surgery scars from the right to the centre of her back. Yet she oozes so much strength and power and determination in this picture, it gives us goosebumps.

Tahira has been a role model to so many women and men who are going through something similar themselves or know of someone battling with cancer. Tahir has embraced her changing look through this tough time like a boss, with many looking up to her for strength. In fact, her confidence level is such that she even walked the ramp a couple of days back at Lakme India fashion week, with her bald look drawing lots of attention. A couple of weeks back she also posted a video on Instagram with her husband Ayushman at her last chemo, a truly heartfelt journey. We wish Tahira a speedy recovery back to health and meanwhile commend her on exuding positivity even in a negative situation, like a boss! She tweeted out her picture showing off her scars saying this –

Tahira and Ayushmann have been married for over 10 years now, and have two beautiful kids. While his career has been on a high for the past few years, on the personal front he has been a huge support to his wife during her battle with the emperor of all maladies. As cancer now is one of the most common ailments to strike Indian families, Tahira is setting an example of how to carry oneself with grace, dignity and confidence even in the most trying circumstances.
