Terrorism is the ugly face of hate and people from all around the world are suffering from the aftermath of it. New Zealand witnessed a dark day yesterday (March 15) when 49 of the many people praying in a mosque were ruthlessly killed by a gunman. The video of the same went viral and it was reported that the terrorist was on a mission to take revenge for the attacks in Europe. While it was urged that the live video shouldn’t be circulated, people were shattered with this news. Bollywood also took to their social media pages to pay their condolences to the lives lost. From Amitabh Bachchan to Kalank actor Varun Dhawan, B-Town celebs were equally disturbed and penned down their thoughts into posts.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “we live in difficult times.. sad and terrifying .. prayers.” He even went on to share an anecdote from one of his father’s poems that was truly heartfelt. Veteran actor Anupam Kher also shared his disregard and said, ” Deeply saddened, anguished & horrified at the senseless & cowardly killing of innocent people in #NewZealandMosqueShooting. My heart goes to the families of the victims. May God give them the strength to deal with their loss. My prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Apart from them, Sonan K Ahuja, Preity G Zinta, Arbaaz Khan, Suneil Grover also paid their condolences. Check out the posts right here:

Luckily, the Bangladesh cricket team that was also at the mosque managed to escape the venue soon after they heard the first couple of gunshots. The gruesome and cowardly act of terrorism is being condoned the world over, we at CineBlitz too share our condolences.
