Parineeti Chopra has so far been mostly known for her perfect comic timing in films like Hasee Toh Phasee, Shuddh Desi Romance and Golmaal Again. However, her next film will see Parineeti in a very different light. She will soon be seen taking on the role of the dangerous, depressed and reclusive alcoholic in the remake of The Girl On The Train. Check out what she had to say about it on Twitter and Instagram:

Reports stated that when asked about the film and her new role, she said “It’s exciting because I never thought I’d actually be doing a film around a book I’ve read and loved. I relate to the character because I’ve studied and worked in London, it’s my second home… I even know the tube maps inside out. I can’t wait to start shooting the film and relive those days and I hope people enjoy seeing me in a completely new avatar in this film.”

The original film is inspired by the best-selling mystery-thriller novel by Paula Hawkins titled The Girl On The Train, and the role of Rachel Watson was played by Emily Blunt in the 2015 critically-acclaimed Hollywood adaptation of the same name. We can’t wait to see what Parineeti does with the character?
