Dance India Dance 7: Dheeraj Dhoopar will NOT HOST the show anymore – here’s why

Dheeraj Dhoopar had early this year (March 2019), spoken quite excitedly about turning a host on the small screen. Weeks later it was announced that Kundali Bhagya’s Karan Luthra aka Dheeraj will be hosting the new season of Dance India Dance. In fact, it was he who had also confirmed that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be judging the show. But in a shocking turn of events, it has been reported today (June 20) that Dheeraj Dhoopar has opted out of the show and he will no longer be the host on it.

While the channel’s team confirmed this, a spokesperson also said that the pilot episode which airs this weekend (June 22 and 23) will show Dheeraj hosting the show, but from next weekend we will not get to see the actor. Zee TV’s programming team is looking for a replacement as of now and by the end of today, things will be finalised on this front. Talking to an entertainment portal, Dheeraj said that managing two shows was getting difficult for him. Yes, the actor said that he was quite excited for DID 7, but working on two shows drained him physically as well as mentally.

He also added that the long working hours would not leave him with any weekly off.  Dance India Dance Season 7 premieres this weekend and will have Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis and Raftaar judging the show.
