Darasing Khurana brought glory to India when he represented the country globally at Mister International 2017. Post that, Darasing did a lot of philanthropic work and even made his acting debut last year with Punjabi film Bhai Ji Kutange. Just in his second year in the acting world, Darasing is already foraying in different industries. He has already signed a Hindi and a Malayalam film.

Recently, he completed the first schedule of his Malayalam film Bandra and the young actor has created quite fond memories of it. Talking about it, Darasing shared, “Shooting for Bandra was a very unique experience altogether. It was my debut project in the Malayalam film industry and I was a little worried. I was told that language is a barrier when you work in South, but that wasn’t the case.”

Adding further, he revealed, “We were in Kochi and we used to shoot overnight. I would leave my hotel at around 5 PM and we would shoot until 6 AM the next morning. The most interesting thing was that the shoot was of a fight sequence in rain, with the very senior actor R. Sarathkumar.”

As soon as he says his name, Darasing goes all gaga about the Tamil actor. He shared that his experience of working with Sarathkumar was just amazing. He informed, “When you work with senior actors, you learn a lot from their humility. I remember when we were shooting for the fight sequences and he would have to even touch me anywhere, be it my shoulder or back, he would ask for my consent. That was such a beautiful thing. He wouldn’t think that it’s just a scene and he could do it for that. Before the scene, he would come to me and would ask me like ‘can I give you a little push on the shoulder for this shot?’ This is one thing I certainly learnt from him.”

Darasing and Sarathkumar even had hearty conversations and deep discussions on the set. The young actor shares, “Even between the shots, when we would sit together, we would discuss a lot about politics as he had been a former member of Rajya Sabha. We also discussed his family, career, my life and it was really beautiful. This went on for 3 days and it was a fantastic shoot.”

Bandra also features Dino Morea and apart from that, Darasing also has Kaagaz 2, which marks one of Satish Kaushik’s last films he shot for prior to his demise.
