Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh, the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu film Arjun Reddy has proved to be a huge success at the box office. Now grabbing the opportunity, Karan Johar is all set for a Hindi remake of another Telugu movie, Dear Comrade which again starred Vijay.

Karan announced the news of buying the production rights for the Hindi remake of the yet-to-release film on social media saying, “Had the pleasure to be the first to see #dearcomrade! Dear Comrade is an intense love story of a student union leader and a state level cricketer where the former has anger management issues which he overcomes to fight for love. Similar to Kabir Singh as it may seem, let’s see how well the remake is helmed under Karan Johar.
