Deepika Padukone’s constant efforts in wiping out the stigma around mental health and depression is praised by all. And last night, this leading lady from Bollywood was invited to the fundraising dinner of the Youth Anxiety Center in New York. There the actress spoke about her battle and about India’s stand on mental health.

Deepika was also spotted bonding with Hollywood model Kendall Jenner. The ladies looked radiant as they posed for a picture. Deepika looked quite the power dresser in a black fringed Alberta Ferretti suit. Check out the picture here:

The Padmaavat actress also heads an organisation Live Love Laugh that helps people deal with issues related to mental health. A few years back Deepika also suffered from clinical depression. Talking about the same Deepika told the guests, “That was the hardest part, to put on a front every single day like everything is okay in your life when actually that’s far from reality. You are smiling and bringing joy into other people’s lives when you have none.”
