Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak shoot draws in a sea of her Delhi fans – view pics
Deepika Padukone started shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak in Delhi yesterday (April 3)
After staying away from the arclights for almost a year, Deepika Padukone is all set to appear on the big screen once again with a very promising film titled Chhapaak. The actor revealed the first look from the film and amazed everyone. While we are sure that Meghna Gulzar will leave us with tears through the story, Padmaavat actress Deepika flew down to Delhi and started shooting for the first schedule in Janpath yesterday (April 3). She was spotted by fans who left the sets of the film super crowded and later followed Deepika’s car too.
Deepika was supposedly shooting for a scene in a store in the famous Janpath market and was spotted in her character’s attire there. Clad in a yellow kurta and blue denim, she drew a lot of attention from fans. The film is based on the life of the acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal and her life after the attack. Interestingly, Deepika was spotted at the very spot where Laxmi was attacked and her appearance is uncanny to Laxmi’s clothes from the incident as well. The crowd followed the actress to her car where she waved them goodbye and left. Check out the videos right here:
With this Mughna Gulzar directorial, Deepika Padukone will venture into production as well. It will also mark her first appearance with Lipstick Under My Burkha actor Vikrant Massey.
