Varun Dhawan teases Alia Bhatt at the Kalank trailer lauch

The trailer of Kalank was launched at an event in Mumbai on April 03. And the entire star cast of the film arrived for the same, looking absolutely stylish in their respective outfits. Apart from the breathtaking trailer, the launch event was interesting because of the fact that all the actors had a fun time with each other. In fact, they even indulged in some leg pulling. Since we were present at the venue, let us tell you about one particular instance which left everyone in splits. It is about Varun Dhawan suggesting that Alia Bhatt has ruined a guy’s life. Read on to know all the details..

The Kalank trailer, which has impressed one and all, starts off with a dumdaar dialogue which is said by Alia Bhatt’s character Roop. Yes, we are talking about the line “Mere Ghusse me liye gaye ek faisle ne hum sabki zindagi barbad kardi.” Since the actress says this line with a lot of conviction and depth in her voice, it was enough for journos to ask her if she had done it in real life too. Though it was a funny question, Alia was sporting enough to answer it and said, “I have never done anything that will ruin anyone’s life.” That’s when her co-star Varun Dhawan jumped in and questioned, “How do we know? I don’t know if you have ever done something to a guy who is staying abroad.” Knowing how much Varun likes pulling Alia’s leg, we weren’t surprised by his cheeky statement. In fact, we found it quite hilarious. But, seems like the actor was pointing out at Alia’s past relationship with his Dubai based ex Ali Dadarkar. The two were reportedly dating for several years, before calling it quits, though they’ve stayed friends still. Anyway, what do you have to say about Varun pulling Alia’s leg? Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is co-produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. The film is slated to release on April 17 and also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Kunal Kemmu. Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon also have special appearances in the magnum opus, which is set in the 1940s. In the meantime, for more such updates and Bollywood news, stay tuned to CineBlitz
