Director Shamas Siddiqui praises Huma Qureshi in Maharani, hints on working with her

Director Shamas Siddiqui, who is awaiting the release of his debut feature directorial Bole Chudiyan has recently binge watched Maharani, streaming on Sony LIV that features actress Huma Qureshi. He is in awe of Huma’s power packed performance in the web show which is an intriguing political drama set in Bihar.
The actress has been receiving a lot of appreciation for her act and Shamas just joined the list of her admirers. Shamas took to Twitter and wrote, “कहते हैं ना “The actor has to develop his body. The actor has to work on his voice. But the most important thing the actor has to work on is his mind – Stella Adler. @humasqureshi You have proved in #MaharaniOnSonyLIV “उम्मीद है आपके साथ मुझे भी काम करने का मौक़ा ज़रूर मिलेगा।”
Replying to this tweet, Huma wrote, “thank you soooo much .. can’t wait for your script. Send jaldi.”

Interestingly, Huma Qureshi was seen romancing his actor-brother Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Gangs of Wasseypur franchise (2012) and who knows if Shamas brings back the couple in another film yet again, especially when Huma gives her nod on a public domain. Lets wait and watch.
