While reports came in yesterday that Karan Wahi will be hosting The Voice India instead of Divyanka Tripathi, many assumed that the actress had quit the reality show. To get more details, we contacted Divyanka who refuted these speculations and said, “No, I am not quitting Voice. Karan Wahi did step in for two episodes which were shot on one day itself. That was because I had a personal commitment, the channel and I tried to work out a lot on the dates, but we couldn’t.” She further added, “After being in the conversation for two-three months, I had given the date months ago, it was mutually decided that for a day I can take a leave. That’s how I was not a part of it. But I will be back for the finale episode, which will be shot on first.”
Talking about the rumors of her quitting Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Divyanka clarified saying, “I am very much a part of YHM, people keep contemplating. Sometimes they say the show is going off-air, sometimes they think I am quitting. But it’s nothing like that; the show is doing pretty well. Yes, I can give very less dates for it because my ALT Balaji show is also going on simultaneously. So, there are adjustments I have to make, if I go for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein once, I shoot in bulk. I have to work a lot but I am totally enjoying the process.”
Well, now that Divyanka has cleared the air, we are eager to see her host the finale of The Voice India and later even see her explore the web space. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates.
