Doctor Sleep: The trailer will leave you intrigued and remind you of The Shining

The Shining starring Jack Nicholson is one of the classic horror movies that we all absolutely love and now the story is being taken forward with the upcoming movie titled Doctor Sleep. The trailer of the film is finally out and we have to say it’s equally thrilling. The little kid from The Shining aka Danny Torrance is all grown up in this film and with it returns the horror of ‘REDRUM’.

Talking about the trailer, it follows how an adult Dan Torrance, who wants to live a peaceful life, is again brought back to the dark world of spirits when he encounters a teenager named Abra. Abra, like Danny, has a powerful extrasensory gift and she asks Danny to help her take down an evil figure – Rose the Hat and her followers, The True Knot. Sounds interesting already right? But the trailer gets better as it is full of throwbacks to The Shining, including an ominous ‘redrum’ spelt out on Danny’s bedroom wall. Check out the trailer right here:

Directed by Mike Flanagan, Doctor Sleep is based on Stephen King’s novel, and it stars Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson and newcomer Kyleigh Curran. The film releases on October 30. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such news and updates.
