Don 3 in the making: Will Shah Rukh Khan be a part of it?

No doubt Farhan Akhtar is one of the better filmmakers and a popular actor in the industry, but more than that, actors in the industry and people in the audiences, want to see Farhan wear the director’s hat once more. The actor-filmmaker has been busy with his acting projects as well as his production ventures, and has not directed a film after Don 2 in 2011. Not only do his fans want to see him direct, more specifically, they want him to come back with the much-anticipated Don 3 with Shah Rukh Khan. Farhan raised the curiosity quotient when he said at an event recently that he has something special coming up soon.

According to reports, insiders are gushing that this will be the much-awaited announcement of Don 3. The film is expected to be announced in a couple of months and to hit the big screens soon, but it remains to be seen whether Akhtar and the King Khan will be back on the screen with the third instalment of this hit franchise or whether the actor-director was talking about something entirely different.

Priyanka Chopra who played the role of Roma in Don and Don 2, will not feature in this film. According to some sources, Don 3 is slated to release in 2020 and will also start shooting for the film soon. Meanwhile, SRK will also be seen in the Rakesh Kumar biopic, which is titled Saare Jahaan Se Aacha. It was initially said that the film was supposed to star Amir Khan in lead, but that he had passed up on it. In fact, it was Aamir Khan who had recommended that Shah Rukh Khan would be a perfect fit for the role.
