Actress Donal Bisht will soon be seen in a never-played-before avatar especially as a psychologist in her upcoming web series ‘Tu Zakhm Hai’. The love-thriller which is set against the backdrop of love, mystery, deceit, transformation, heartbreak and healing, will have Donal in the lead against Gashmeer Mahajani.

The gripping series from MX Player, debuts episodes set against the backdrop of Delhi’s high society prince of white crime garbed as a real magnate twisting the life of a strong, independent clinical psychologist Kavya Grewal (Donal Bisht) and leading her to a dark trap. Held hostage due to unforeseen conditions, a real and practical Kavya emerges into a strong and fierce woman as she battles the hardships all on her own. The actress who is set for the launch invites women especially to be practical in a relationship and not cave into modern day atrocities such as gaslighting and “love bombing”. An excited Donal Bisht says, “It was fun playing a psychologist on the show although the complexities of the character compelled me to take a week-long vacation after the shoot to unwind and regain my original composure. As someone who always wanted to be a psychologist since I was a child, though it did boost my alter ego, I never had imagined how difficult their lives could be. I actually shadowed a couple of psychologists to play the part copiously and believe that we need to preserve the mental health experts in India due to the mental health burden that they survive on a daily basis.

I am the healing factor of the show, healing others and myself as I humanize people, relationships and most importantly the most complex machine – ‘the mind’.” Also, she says, “Women end up overlooking red flags in a relationship and I hope my role in “Tu Zakhm Hai” inspires them to identify the loopholes in a romantic relationship and call out the ‘blind spots’ unabashedly. If you don’t verbalize it, you end up being a ‘masochist’.”

A story that will leave you craving for me, she will unravel a personality that she believes needs to become the “spirit animal” of every woman in a relationship. Donal Bisht who has shared the poster of “Tu Zakhm Hai” on her social media handle is excited for this product emerging straight after the long pandemic.
