After having worked together on Housefull 3, Jacqueline Fernandez and director Sajid Samji are teaming up once again. The actress has been signed on by Sajid for a yet-to-be-titled film. Going by the director’s track record and his penchant for comedies, the film in all likelihood is expected to be a comedy or an action comedy. Interestingly, this is Sajid’s first film as a solo director. His previous films – Housefull 3 and Entertainment – have been co-directed by Farhad.

While the details are under wraps, a source reveals that in the film Jacqueline will be playing the lead with three boys. Sunny Singh of last year’s superhit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will be one of the three leading men. The source shares, “Jacqueline has been signed on and so has Sunny Singh. We are on the look-out for the other two leading actors too. We are considering a few names but are yet to zero in and lock them for the roles.” While the genre is not confirmed yet, there are hints of it being a comedy. “Jacqueline has an amazing comic-timing. She has proven that in her previous films. So, she fit the part here too,” adds the source.

Meanwhile, this is the second film that the director duo Sajid-Farhad is not directing together. While Housefull 3 was directed by them both, the upcoming Housefull 4 will be directed by Farhad and this film will be directed solely by Sajid. The superhit duo Sajid-Farhad have some of the biggest hits to their credit as writers. Their latest being Rohit Shetty’s Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba. With Rohit they have earlier given hits like Ajay Devgn starrer-Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, Golmaal Again, Singham and Singham Returns and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express amongst others. Besides these, as writer duo, they also have films like Akshay Kumar’s Boss and Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 to their credit.
