Exclusive: Sara Ali Khan caught in a fix between Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3 and Varun Dhawan’s Coolie No 1 – here’s why

With a massive hit Simmba in her kitty, Sara Ali Khan seems to be the most-sought-after newcomer in tinsel town. The latest we heard is that the makers of Baaghi 3 are keen on casting her as the female lead opposite Tiger Shroff. However, Sara is not green-lighting the project yet. And we have learnt the reason may be a date clash. The Ahmed Khan-directed action film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala is likely to go on floor around March or April. Now the problem is that Sara has been signed opposite Varun Dhawan for the remake of Coolie No. 1 to be directed by David Dhawan and the film will be going on floor around the same time.
So naturally if Sara takes up Baaghi 3, her dates are bound to clash with Coolie No 1. It will be interesting to see whether the young actress will be able to juggle the two, which may not be an easy task. However, it may be recalled that she had juggled between shooting her debut film Kedarnath and her second film Simmba too. Or else, it would mean that she will have to choose one over the other, in which case she is likely to go ahead with Varun’s film since she has already committed to it. Of course the best bet for Sara would be if the two makers work on the dates so that both get Sara into their films. And it can be a win-win situation for both. Well, whether the makers can swing this, only time will tell.
Meanwhile, we hear Sara is thrilled with both her films being well-received at the box office. While her debut film Kedarnath starring Sushant Singh Rajput did not exactly set the box office on fire, it did do decent business and earn her performance much appreciation. However it’s her second film Simmba that’s become her first blockbuster in Bollywood and has booked her a spot in the 200 crore club already. What do you have to say about this tug-of-war for Sara?
