Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar have finally green-lighted their much-awaited film, Don 3. Eight years after Don 2 (2011) hit the big screens and 13 years after Don:The Chase Begins (2006) released, Farhan and SRK are reuniting once again for the third installment of the hit Don franchise. And we have learnt, from reliable sources, that the film has been titled Don: The Final Chapter. The film is in the pre-production stage as of now and was supposed to go on floors later this year. But insiders reveal that the makers are keen to get rolling and so, the film might take off earlier than expected, maybe by mid-year.
While Don and Don 2 starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas opposite Shah Rukh Khan, the actress may not be seen in the third part. This is because of the fact that Don: The Final Chapter will also see a vast change in the story line and other cast members. According to insiders, Farhan has already scripted the film and while they have locked on some actors, the lead actress opposite SRK is yet to be finalised. Anyway, what do you guys have to say about the title of Don 3? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below!
There’s also a strong buzz that Farhan Akhtar will be seen playing a cop in the film. If confirmed, this will be Farhan’s first big screen outing in the khakee. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is still not sure of his Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha! While there are rumours of him having left the project, writer Anjum Rajabali insists that SRK is very much a part of the film.
