This new upcoming rom-com serial looks different, right from its first episode. The serial has a quirky name Pyar ke Papad. The TV serial doesn’t feel like an regular Hindi soap,  with dramatic music and repetitive dialogues. It seems to have a simple approach towards the characters of the serial, and looks relatable too. As per the producer, it took almost nine months to select the cast and it was the longest procedure. Though the lead Aashay Mishra is debuting with this serial, he has been seen in many commercials previously.

Aashay shares with us the story of his struggle which went on for three years of just auditions, bur resulting in no breaks in Bollywood. The debutant revealed that he also auditioned for the upcoming Hindi drama film titled The Sky is Pink. The film stars actress Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Secret Superstar Zaira Wasim. Though the TV debutant regrets not getting selected for that film, he is quite happy with this opportunity to be part of the television world. But he  still looks forward to landing Bollywood roles in his career.

The story of Pyar ke Papad is set in the city of Kanpur, where religious beliefs and modern relationships are finding a middle ground to happiness. This show is a rib-tickling journey of an orthodox father who decides to take fate in his own hands, when his daughter falls in love with a man from another caste. Produced by Panorama Entertainment, the show cast comprises Akhilendra Mishra, Swardha Thigale and debutant Aashay Mishra, who plays the protagonist who bears the brunt of his would-be father-in-law’s disapproval. It will start airing on February 18 on Star Bharat channel, and it will be interesting to see if the simple approach remains constant throughout the story or if they succumb to different demands depending on their ratings.
