Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra are teaming up once again, six years after they gave us the brilliant biopic Bhaag Milha Bhaag (2013) that was based on the life of Indian athlete and Olympian Milkha Singh. And now the duo is coming together to tell the story of a boxer. Titled Toofan, the film was announced by Farhan on the social media. He tweeted: “More Thrilled to share that 6 years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,@RakeyshOmMehra and I are reuniting to create #Toofan .. a heartfelt story of a boxer. Hope for your best wishes as we embark on this new journey. Love @ritesh_sid @excelmovies @ROMPPictures” The film is being produced by Excel Entertainment and Mehra’s ROMP Pictures.
Now, the last time around we know how Farhan had undergone rigorous training and extreme physical fitness regime to develop an athletic body with lean muscle and cutting down all fat to look the part for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The actor had been given a thumbs-up for his realistic portrayal as well as impressive performance. So, naturally, all eyes will be on him once again to see what level of fitness and training does he undergo this time to play a boxer? Check out the tweet below.

With the announcement of Toofan, the count of the number of films under Farhan’s belt have gone up to five. The actor already had his hands full with the upcoming The Fakir of Venice. Post which he has Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink that also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and as a filmmaker too he’s juggling between his sister Zoya Akhtar’s Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy and later directing the biggie Don 3 with Shah Rukh Khan. Personally, the actor has been making news for his relationship with Shibani Dandekar with rumours doing the rounds of them tying the knot sometime in March or April this year.
