Father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam K Ahuja will be seen dancing together on the big screen for the first time, as the makers of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga release their fun Punjabi number Ishq Mitha as a special treat on Lohri. The iconic superhit Punjabi number from the 90s has been recreated for the film and will release tomorrow on January 14. Calling it a song that he will cherish forever as he gets to dance with his daughter Sonam, Anil Kapoor announced the new song and shared the poster, captioning it: “Dancing with @sonamakapoor on #IshqMitha is definitely something I’ll cherish forever. Stay tuned for the song. #EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga #LetLoveBe @iam_juhi @RajkummarRao @ShellyCDhar @RochakTweets @navrajhansnavi @HarshdeepKaur @guggss @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi @saregamaglobal.” Meanwhile, Sonam posted that with this song she has ticked off a to-do from her bucket list, which was dancing with her father on a wedding song in a film.

The song Ishq Mitha is the second track to be released after the title track of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. And while the earlier track was an emotional romantic number, Ishq Mitha is a full on dance track with peppy beats and foot-tapping music. Parts of the celebratory song were also seen in the trailer of the film that had created much buzz among music-lovers already who were looking forward to see the song being recreated. While the title track was a recreated version of 1942 A Love Story, the Anil Kapoor, and Manisha Koirala musical that ruled 90s India, the new track had featured then-new models Malaika Arora and Jas Arora.
