Gully Boy trailer: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s raw performances will have you hooked – watch video

After a fantastic teaser, the makers of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy released the trailer and we have to say it is mindblowing. The trailer is not only visually appeasing, but the way it showcases the story is equally impressive. The background score, the rap and even the performances need to be appreciated.

In the trailer, we see how a small time guy from the slums (played by Ranveer) rises to fame in the rap world. His dedication, his convoluted love story with a Muslim girl (played by Alia), the rap battles, his relationship with his family, his struggles are all shown beautifully. Alia’s strong act and her adorable chemistry with RS looks fab. The rap battles are epic and we feel Ranveer has nailed them perfectly. We have to say, director Zoya Akhtar has done a fabulous job and this story will surely leave you hooked and you want to know what happens next. The cinematography needs to be applauded too.
