The actress who began her journey in 2003 with Boom has come a long way. Today (July 16) Katrina celebrates her 36^th birthday. # For the world, Katrina began her career in Bollywood with Boom. But this wasn’t the first films she was cast in. Before Boom, Katrina was cast by Mahesh Bhatt in a film called Saaya. The reason was said to be Katrina not being able to speak Hindi.

# Katrina’s real surname isn’t Kaif. Yes, you read that right. Her real name is Katrina Turquotte. It was Boom’s producer Ayesha Shroff who changed her name to Katrina Kaif because she felt Turquotte was difficult to pronounce.

# For those who are only familiar with Katrina’s Hindi films, the actress has also worked in Telegu and Malayalam films. She has worked in two Telegu films and one Malayalam film with Mammootty

# Katrina has one of the amazing filmographies when it comes to working in big films. The actress has worked with all three Khans and almost every possible leading man in the Industry.
