The director is revelling in the success of his recently released film, Simmba, and our audiences have loved every bit of the film, and it is doing wonders for the Box Office sales. It stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in key roles.
According to reports, Rohit and Shah Rukh Khan had a tiff after his film Dilwale starring Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon, tanked at the Box Office. Rumours of a quarrel between the director and his main man, Shah Rukh, began doing the rounds. Although Rohit constantly denied these reports, the rumours refused to settle down. Hitting the bulls-eye once and for all, the director has gone on record to deny claims of any signs of a fall-out between them.
In a recent interview to Zoom TV, Rohit opened up about the matter. To quote him, “Not really. No. On a technical basis, people don’t realise, that the titles of Simmba, the colour, the DI of the film, everything has happened at Red Chillies where Zero was also being worked, and that is Shah Rukh’s company.
He added, “So, agar aisa kuch hoga, (his row with SRK), why would I work there? There’s nothing like that. Nothing. It’s just that we’ve not done a film together so abhi yeh keh rahen hain ki jhagda ho gaya hai. That happens.” Hopefully, this will help clear all the rumours that were rife.
Rohit is working on his next cop film, Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar, that will hit the screens in April, while SRK will star in the Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Acchha.
