Renowned Indian Pop and Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnuth aka KK died last night at the age of 53. The news of his death left the film and music industry and his fans in a deep shock. Music director Himesh Reshammiya expressed his grief on the sad demise of KK. This is what he had to say:

“KK was not only a great singer but a very warm hearted human being. He sang some of my very beautiful songs which are timeless like Soniye from Aksar, Bardaasht from Humraaz, Tere Sang Ek Simple Si Cofffee, Dilli Ki Sardi, the title track of Zameen and Ishq Ne Tere Ishq Mein , tanha tere bagair , from Ahista Ahista. Together, we sang No Way No Way from Anthony Kaun Hai? and he also sang O Jaana from Tere Naam, Ghoomar from Chup Ke , tujhme badi dilchaspi from China town , Soorat pe teri from footpath , ye dil tumpe aa gaya from airtraaz , I love you for what you are from Aap ki khaatir , teri yaad from wah life hi to aisi , ok lalala RE from Tarzan , o makhana ve from dil maanga more , tum mile from My name is Anthony gonsalves , go Balle Balle from dil ne Jise Apna kahaan , lutf de gayi from ishq Hai tumse , and a few more of my songs. KK had sung around 25 songs for me , I will always miss him and his soulful voice. There was always a beautiful smile on his face whenever we met. I remember the last I met him was around a year ago at an airport lounge while coming back to Mumbai, as we were performing in the same city. We had some very happy conversations that day and I just can’t get over the fact that he is not with us anymore. He was a true legend and my heartfelt condolences to his family. Every music lover will truly miss him.” – Himesh Reshammiya
