Cannes 2019 fever is on! And while we all are busy spotting our favourite celebs killing it on the red carpet, a very rationalist comment was made on Hina Khan’s appearance by a leading magazine’s editor. The editor posted a picture of the actress and said, “Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali studios kya?” This sure did not affect much as she immediately came up with a savage reply where she said, “I was persistent, I’m constant and I will be efficient again and again. Don’t know where I belong, don’t know if I have to, as the Place doesn’t define me! Because as always I will work my a** off and I will make my own PLACE. My promise, a proud outsider from my Chandivali studios.” But her friends from the industry decided not to end it at just that. Celebs like Farah Khan, Salman Khan, Arjun Bijlani, Nia Sharma came out in her support.

Where Salman Khan said, “I don’t know if the Editor wanted to say that #Cannes has become Chandivali or Chandivali has gone to #Cannes2019.” Farah Khan also appreciated the bold move that Hina took and praised her stand. Check out the tweets right here:

After the brouhaha, the editor finally took to social media and apologised, informing that his comment was drastically misconstrued. Hina accepted the apology and moved on to slay the Cannes world.

While this matter came to an end here, it raised many questions about Television star’s credibility. Hina Khan’s debut film Lines premiered at the Cannes Festival 2019 and if that is not a reason to celebrate then what is? Well, at least we are glad that the issue was resolved gracefully.
