Vikram Vedha was a 2017 release and starred Vijay Sethupati and R Madhavan. The story was about Vikram, a pragmatic policeman, and his partner Simon, who are on a hunt to capture Vedha. When Vedha voluntarily surrenders, he offers to tell Vikram a story, throwing Vikram’s life into disarray.
According to sources, Aamir Khan has signed up to play the part of Vedha. And the other hero in the film will be Saif Ali Khan – he will be playing the police officer’s role in the Hindi adaptation of the film. It will be directed by the original director duo Pushkar and Gayatri. Neeraj Pandey is currently working on the adaptation of the film.
The film goes on the floors in mid-2020, just after Aamir completes the shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha. Meanwhile Saif Ali Khan has the web show Tandav to be produced by Ali Abbas Zafar. Incidentally, Aamir and Saif were last seen together almost 20 years ago, in Dil Chahta Hai! Before that they had starred together in Parampara, directed by Yash Chopra.
