Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Simmba – directed by Rohit Shetty – has turned out to be a roaring success at the box office as it continues to speed towards the Rs 200 crore mark. And the party hosted by the makers of the film – producer Karan Johar (Dharma Productions) and Rohit – to celebrate the film’s success was an equally roaring star-studded affair. Ranveer, as always, made a rather stylish entry at the bash waving out to his fans as he peeped out from the sunroof of his car, while wife Deepika Padukone who was all smiles at the do, made a separate entry in her car. Sara looked gorgeous in a sequinned dress. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Kajol all joined in the fun, and also present were Sonu Sood with wife Sonali, Kunal Khemmu, Shweta Bachchan and Manish Malhotra. The vibrant bash had everyone upbeat including Deepika who was clearly enjoying every moment of the bash. Even the otherwise party-shy Akshay was seen bonding with Ajay and Kajol.

Karan posed with the three hit-machines – Ajay, Akshay and Ranveer – and Rohit, who took to instagram to make an interesting announcement of his next film with Akshay tentatively titled Sooryavanshi. Rohit posted: “Singham Simmba Sooryavanshi…Coming…Should I tell you Something that you don’t know???” To which Karan replied with his own post on insta saying, “I think i know what you’re talking about @itsrohitshetty” After Ajay’s Singham franchise and Ranveer’s Simmba, Rohit is set to start his next with Akshay that will have the actor don the khakee. Akshay was seen making a cameo in Simmba with strong hints of there being yet another cop-caper, Sooryavanshi coming from Rohit’s stable. And the insta posts clearly confirm it further, though the official announcement is being awaited. The director meanwhile is also busy with his action-adventure series on television, Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.

As for Simmba, the film has proven to be an even bigger hit for Ranveer than Bajirao Mastani  and has become the second-highest grosser of his filmography after Padmaavat. With the hit Padmaavat at the start of 2018 and Simmba close to crossing Rs 200 crore, Ranveer has catapulted past all competition to become the highest-grossing actor of 2018 with Rs 500 crore, taking a lead of almost Rs 125 crore from Akshay who is the second-highest grosser of last year.
