India is all set to play New Zealand in the first semi-final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 today (July 09). While India has been in full form, New Zealand has been faltering of late. With that, India are clear favourites and even the Bollywood stars feel so! Yes, before the match, we exclusively spoke to a few B-town actors regarding the semi-final encounter and they are excited to see how it goes down. While all of them have predicted an Indian victory, they also predicted that Rohit Sharma will hit a century!
The Indian vice-captain, Rohit Sharma, has been in top form at the Cricket World Cup 2019. In fact, he has hit five centuries in the tournament, creating a new record with that! But can he hit another ton? Well here’s what Bollywood celebrities like Suniel Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Grover have to say about the India vs New Zealand match at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
# Suniel Shetty
I feel Rohit Sharma will definitely hit a century, but I don’t want to jinx anything so I wouldn’t say anything about it. Rest, we definitely are winning tomorrow’s match against New Zealand. Talking about the final World cup match, India will win if it wins the toss. If the team loses the toss then it is going to be a fight. I am in London and I am looking forward to see the match.
# Sunil Grover
I feel I am talking like an astrologer, predicting the outcome of the match. But yes, Rohit Sharma will score a century. This time a double century. Here’s wishing our team good luck, and I am proud the way they are playing in this tournament. We are surely winning the World Cup.
# Shilpa Shetty
India has a great chance to win. There is a great chance for Rohit Sharma to hit a century too. The Indian team is in great form, I think it could be an India vs England final.
# Bobby Deol
Rohit Sharma playing on the ground is enough for our team to win regardless of the fact that he hits a 100 or not. Talking about the finals, well India will definitely reach the finals and I feel England will be the opponents, most probably.
# Aparshakti Khurrana
I am really excited about the semi finals and if we win, then we will win the finals as well. Two big games coming ahead, but I really want to say one thing with all honesty that the way India has played so far, we are already champions. Just in case, they don’t get the cup home, we are still very very proud of them. They have genuinely dominated everyone. We have been dominating world cricket for a while now and this time around we have proved it bluntly.
Talking about tomorrow’s game, I am really looking forward to Rohit Sharma’s game for sure. If we play both the matches now I am sure Rohit will have a key role to play. And key role is not only a century. No pressure bro, Rohit bhai we totally love you none the less.
Well we hope everyone’s bang on with their predictions and not only does Rohit Sharma hit a ton, but India also wins. In the meantime, stay tuned to CineBlitz for more exclusive news, updates and gossip right here.

Koena Mitra slams music directors of Batla House for their rendition of O Saki Saki
In an exclusive chat with CineBlitz, Koena Mitra expressed her views on the recreation of her hit Musafir song O Saki Saki, in Batla House featuring Nora Fatehi
The makers of John Abraham starrer Batla House dropped the teaser of their first song from the film titled O Saki Saki. Yes, the name of the song is familiar because it is a rendition of Koena Mitra’s hit song O Saki Saki from Sanjay Dutt-starrer Musafir. And even before the team could release the song today (July 16), Koena took to Twitter and expressed how she did not like the song’s teaser and was disappointed about the rendition. Now after the release of the song, Team CineBlitz exclusively got in touch with the Musafir actress to know what she has to say about the song.
When asked if she liked the O Saki Saki‘s new version, Koena said, “It (Musafir) was my first film, my debut and it was my first huge hit so obviously it is very close to my heart and our teamwork was also very solid. I mean we had Sanjay Dutt, Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan, Sanjay Gupta, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves. So we had a very powerful team. I just saw the video right now and Nora (Fatehi) has done a good job. She has done it in her way. She has done it in her own style. But having said that, I did not like the song at all. O Saki Saki has a different fanbase and the rendition is not that good. The soundtrack is a bit disappointing, but Nora is good.”
Talking about the growing trend of remixes, renditions and remakes, Koena said that she never supported it. “I never support it. I think iconic songs should not be touched. I think iconic songs like these should not be rendered into new versions. Music directors should create new songs,” said Koena.
She further said, “See, O Saki Saki is not even a very old song, so it is too early to make a rendition of it. And the same goes for other songs as well. Take the example of Tamma Tamma. When you listen to that song you will think of Madhuri Dixit. These songs are such big hits that you think of the actor when you think about the song. And for an actor, for performers, it becomes very tricky as there are harsh judgements, comparisons. We don’t want that. So the lyricist and music directors should make their own new songs.”
Talking about Batla House, the film stars John Abraham and Super 30 fame actress Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. The film is directed by Nikkhil Advani and is set to hit the theatres on August 15. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more exclusive interviews, news and updates.
