Indias Most Wanted screening 2

Arjun Kapoor is all set for the release of India’s Most Wanted, which is tomorrow (May 24). While the film deals with a sensitive topic it had to go through the censor’s scissors. The CBFC had ordered the makers to cut a scene that referred to the Gita and Quran, which are two religious books. The makers accepted the order and edited out the scene. Recently, when asked about the same, director Rajkumar Gupta spoke about how editing takes away the storytelling. Read on to know more.

India’s Most Wanted is the quest of a group of five undercover officers who are in search of a big terrorist. Talking about cutting down the scene, Rajkumar said, “Such edits take away from the storytelling process. There was a scene which was written for a certain context in the film, and there is some impact derived from that, or there is a certain reality portrayed in it.” According to Rajkumar, CBFC told them that such scenes might hurt the religious sentiments and the makers didn’t want to do that. So despite  not being too happy about it, they agreed to the cuts.

The thriller releases tomorrow. For more updates and gossip about Bollywood, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
