Michelin Star Chef turned filmmaker Vikas Khanna recently made his directorial debut with The Last Color starring veteran actress Neena Gupta. And the film has created history today (July 24)  by winning 2 main awards- Audience Awards & Directors’ Vision Award at the prestigious Indisches Film Festival in Stuttgart, Germany.

Delighted and overwhelmed by the news, the celebrity chef said in a statement that, “I am overwhelmed by receiving this award. It’s a milestone for us that the movie has received so much appreciation and recognition all across the globe. I could not have asked for more and it makes me immensely proud to share that in 16 years, The Last Color is the only movie to win 2 main awards at this festival.” He also shared his feelings on social media. Check out his post here:

Based on an age old taboo surrounding widows in Vrindavan and Varanasi in India, the movie was the only Indian film with a special screening at the Marche Du Film Section at Cannes on 15th May 2019. Besides, the film was also screened and showcased in various Film Festivals across the world. We congratulate Vikas for a successful and important debut.
