Is Kareena Kapoor the highest paid Bollywood actress on TV? The new Dance India Dance judge opens up

Kareena Kapoor Khan might be nervous about her TV debut, but she is also excited about exploring the medium. While she plans to be a good judge on Dance India Dance, she has also become the highest paid Bollywood actress on television.

During media interactions at the show’s launch recently, Kareena commented on the same, she said “Well, a pay packet has to be a good amount because you put in a lot of hard work on television. If a male judge is getting so much, yes, a female judge can too. And yes, it has actually been the first time ever that any mainstream actress has forayed into TV at this point in her career.”

She also talked about her conditions for coming on board and why she rejected offers from television earlier. “Yes I have been offered many shows which I don’t want to name, but I have always said a no. Because TV has long hours around 12-14 almost, and I don’t work more than 8 hours after Taimur’s birth. I am a working mother and I have to be at home for him. I like to always be at home before he eats his dinner, that is the time I don’t want to be with anyone else other than him and my family. That was the only hurdle we had to cross with DID and Zee, because they have to shoot 12 hours. They are being very kind and balancing it out. Those were my conditions.”
