Sidharth Malhotra in a still from Jabariya Jodi

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are all geared up for the release of their film Jabariya Jodi. The film is based on groom-kidnapping which is rampant in the North of India and brings a fun take on it. Sidharth has completely transformed himself for the character and has gotten into the skin of the Bihari boy Abhay Singh. Interestingly, looks like Sidharth’s character from the film is actually inspired by the Baahubalis in Bihar. And to make the character Abhay Singh, different references from clothes to body language to dialect were taken from the real Baahubalis.

Talking about the same, Sidharth said, “There was no particular reference. I was shown videos and pictures of a few popular Baahubalis from Bihar. My character of Abhay Singh is an amalgamation of them. I have incorporated someone’s style, someone’s body-language, someone’s talking style and then added my own perspective to it.” He further added, “Our director had an image of Abhay Singh in mind. He visualised me in a particular way and I just improvised it further with my view.”

Jabariya Jodi directed by Prashant Singh will be releasing on August 2. For more updates and gossip about Bollywood, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
